The Wow Facial has received a phenomenal amount of press over the past year, and I think the reason for that is because it literally does what it says – ‘Wow!’
It is, what I would categorize as a ‘low downtime’ treatment. That means that, once you have had it, you are good to go, no redness, no peeling just glowing, party ready skin, with longer lasting results than your average facial.

The Wow Facial was developed by Claire Williams, an aesthetics industry expert who wanted to create a results driven facial to stimulate the skin to the maximum point without creating any ‘unwanted effects’ or ‘downtime’.
Break it Down
There are six stages of skin stimulation in the Wow Facial.
- Cleanse – getting the skin scrupulously clean is essential for any treatment (or even for application of your home skincare regime).
- Resurface – a mildly acidic solution is applied to the skin to loosen up dead dry skin cells on the surface. This will feel slightly tingly.
- Dermaplaning – with the dead dry skin cells loosened, now we get to work with gently scraping them away and taking any soft vellus hair or ‘peach fuzz’ at the same time.
- The Wow Fusion Device – this innovative gadget combines skin needling with mesotherapy. So whilst the tiny needles stimulate your own collagen and elastin production, the spiral grooves present within each needle deliver a bespoke skin cocktail just under the top layer of the skin. This device is completely comfortable and causes minimal redness.
- LED light – 20 minutes under the multiple award winning LED phototherapy light works by providing a source of energy for your skin cells so that they start pumping out more collagen and elastin. (the blue light can also be added for those with oily or acne prone skin)
- Wow Mask time. This hyaluronic acid mask will help settle any inflammation caused during the treatment and ensure you walk out of the door with bouncy radiant looking skin
Finally - don’t leave home without it! An application of SPF will see you on your way regardless of the weather!

So when we are using our magical Wow Fusion device, there is actually a way to help sweating, which involves putting a little bit of Botox into the solution. When using Botulinum Toxin in a solution like this, it is not the same as having your usual wrinkle treatment. Unlike wrinkle injections, these deposits are very superficial and not deep enough to affect the muscle activity, so zero effect on your facial expressions just a less sweaty skin!
